Why Disney isn't the biggest Kids T.V. show producing machine anymore

Why Disney isn't the biggest Kids T.V. show producing machine anymore...

Disney was the biggest powerhouse in Kids TV production.

They connected with kids from all around the world.

They had diversity. They had shows that taught a lesson and shows that were just for fun.

The kids growing up with Disney that were born in the 90’s and early 2000’s were raised by Disney and a few other networks. But this video is about Disney.

So all the shows that Disney created in the years from 2001-2012 were directed at kids born during the 90’s and 2000’s period. And because we grew up watching these shows. We continued to watch them well into high school to see them through.

Even though you may have been 16 at the time and didn’t admit it in public, we were all watching the last seasons of “Hannah Montana” and even “Phineas and Ferb” together.

Most of the shows that Disney was producing during that time were a hit.

There were a few shows that came out right before the 90’s kids and the early 2000’s kids lost interest. We all watched them but as soon as we lost interest in watching kids shows we sort of just moved on. But the others were a part of us and we had to make sure we watched every episode well into our teens.

We had shows like, Kim Possible 2002-2007, That’s So Raven 2003-2007, Lizzie Mcguire 2001-2004, Lilo & Stitch 2003-2006, The Proud Family 2001-2005, The Emperor’s New School 2006-2008, Hannah Montana 2006-2011, The Replacements 2006-2009, Phineas and Ferb 2007-2015, Wizards of Waverly Place 2007-2012, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody 2005-2008, The Suite Life on Deck of Zack and Cody 2008-2011, Sonny with a Chance 2009-2011, and The Jonas Brothers 2009-2010.

These shows all came out while we were children. They came out during a time where most of us weren’t allowed a cellphone. And even those of us who had cell phones had restrictions. The cellphones at the time though, were not as powerful as a small laptop of today. The phones were meant to text and call. Even those with internet capabilities barely allowed for much. Our lives were basically TV, school, and after school activities like sports or academic competitions. Disney encouraged us to go outside and play. These times were times in which people felt safer and allowed their kids to play outside. That’s not to say that times were actually safer. But they were times when parents trusted their neighbors. The parents themselves were outside with the kids, watching them play. If you drive through your local neighborhood today, well depending on where you live, you will notice that there are no kids playing outside. They are most likely inside playing video games, on Youtube, or at a center. The kids of today have different options then we did, with the internet providing a variety of forms of entertainment.

And Also how many people do you know today who actually have cable and enjoy watching cable? Most people don’t really watch T.V. anymore. They have options like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus. No one wants to be outside anymore. And I don’t think anything is wrong with that. Since you can literally exercise inside your home.

So Disney has to fight for attention between all of these choices that kids have. It is not that Disney isn’t making hits anymore, because if you ask any kid who has access to either cable or Disney Plus they will tell you that they enjoy the shows that are available to them. If you tried watching the new shows with the kids, you will start to subconsciously compare new Disney with old Disney. Because you have such a strong connection to the shows you grew up with.

Keep in mind as well that there are way less people with cable in the years of the glorious $8.99 a month for access to over 15,000 shows and movies.

Versus basic cable which is at least $64 a month, with a bunch of channels that you really don’t care about. And maybe 3 channels that you care for, but still have to be stuck watching commercials.

So even if Disney wanted to create the same superstardom as the likes of "Hannah Montana", there is way more competition. The attention of the kids is divided. Granted however, that I will agree that the actors and actresses of that time had more talent. Or maybe they had more training and were way more overworked. Or maybe I am biased and these are just my opinions. I am sure the production companies use to abuse their talent’s free time. Who knows.

There were a few shows that came out while we were still finishing the shows that we started out with. These shows included Good Luck Charlie 2010-2014, Fish Hooks 2010-2014, Shake It Up Chicago 2010-2013, A.N.T. Farm 2011-2014, Gravity Falls 2012-2016, and Dog with a Blog 2012-2015.

So even if these shows may have come out during your high school days you were still a Disney fan. And some of your favorite shows were still running. You most likely stopped watching these shows but you probably continued to watch "Phineas and Ferb" until the very last episode.

However, notice that these shows still caught your attention. Which means that the shows that Disney currently have are catered towards kids. But you are not a kid anymore. And your interest may have grown or shifted.

TLDR, no worries there is a video for you.

Inked

Somewhere along the way I dropped something. I can't remember what it is. I don't even remember the exact time. But for sure I dropped something. I wish I were told when I did. But who else can I blame but myself. In a world full with pretense that everything is okay, being the the bleeding pen doesn't hurt as bad. Spilling ink as if there was an unlimited source of ink. Spilling like there is no tomorrow. The color looks so beautiful as the sunlight hits the ink. It feels good to feel something other than pure bliss and the occasional frustration. It feels like I am alive. I have fallen off cloud nine only to be met by broken glass. I didn't see it coming. It hurts a little, maybe a lot.  It felt like a sting. No, more like the reaper somehow took a piece of my heart. I whisper to myself, I will be okay. I have to be, because a broken heart could be my demise.

As the saying goes...

As the saying goes, luck is when preparation meets opportunity. Let's analyze. Preparation can be described as training or development. Are you training? Are you building yourself? For some reason it seems to be hard for people to grasp the fact that they have to work hard to get what they want in life. While you go out partying with "Susie"every night, Susie is getting home late after partying to study and work hard. She will go to bed at 4 a.m. working hard while you will go to bed at 4 a.m. because you are up watching Netflix. Don't let Susie hinder you from your success because Susie will never tell you that she has to work hard to get what she wants. Susie herself doesn't believe she is working hard enough. Susie thinks her success is luck but if you knew it all you would understand that Susie's success is based solely on hard-work. "If  a man will not work, he shall not eat."

Take the Garbage out!!!

If you are with a man who you feel needs to change who he is simply to make you happy and not for his own good, let that man go. He is not for you. A man who is packaged for you will be so right for you that you will want him with all his flaws. You are whole as a human being. Stop looking for someone to complete you. A person can only complement you. It does not matter how nice someone seems if the person is causing you emotional or physical pain, let that person go. The same rule applies to everyone that comes into your life. If you have a friend who is constantly asking you to change to fit their narrative of what a friend should be, throw that friend away. That friend is not yours. That friend is somebody else's. The reverse can also be said. The only reason you should be asking someone to change or someone should be asking you to change it is if and only if you have a particular habit that is negative and needs an update. If the person is trying to infiltrate your mind wi...
