why some girls don’t like watching anime?

 

Let's discuss why some girls just don’t vibe with anime.

I have had a several girls as my friends during my lifetime. 

In terms of do they watch anime or not? A very small percentage do.

But online there are many women who enjoy watching anime. 

I think that some women don’t like talking about watching anime because other women and men who do watch anime literally ask them for a list of the animes that they have watched. 

Lol that’s ridiculous.

I don’t even remember what I ate for breakfast and for some reason you think I can, somehow on the spot provide you with a list?

You guys are silly.

I have asked my girlfriends why they do not want to watch anime? Their response is that anime is for kids. 

I think they are missing the point. Even though they think anime are reminiscent of kid’s cartoons. 

They have never even tried watching anime.

So they don’t realize that the anime are there for entertainment purposes.

Some are geared towards kids. But some are not.

Animes are the same as Asian dramas which are the same as soap operas which are the same as shows like Gossip Girl or Smallville. 

If they even gave the animes a chance they would realize that, but they refuse to give it a chance. 

I can kinda understand why they don’t want to. 

Because for years anime was associated with the “weird kids” but honestly anyone from all walks of life can and do watch anime.

Because even though animes are just animations. They have different genres.

Sometimes when people ask women do they watch anime and they ask for a list,

What happens is that if the women don’t say things like Naruto or Attack on Titans, but they say things like Madoka Magica or Sword Art Online, they are deemed not real anime watchers. 

Lol How is that possible?

If I watch movies and you watch movies, but you only like action movies and I like romantic comedies does that make me a fake movie watcher?

You guys are being unfair.

Just because I don’t like watching scary movies does not make me a fake movie watcher just like if I don’t like watching “attack on titan” it does not make me a fake anime watcher.

And if you are dating someone and they have never watched anime before don’t just shove it down their throats.

Find out what kind of movies and shows that they like to watch, then find the equivalent of those in anime form and ask her to watch just one episode with you.

Obviously make sure you have given her favorite shows a try too.

Everyone is different so not everyone is going to like the same things.

I used to love peanut butter so much that I would eat it every night.

I would wake up in the middle of the night to go eat a peanut butter and jelly as a midnight snack. 

And now I really hate the smell of peanut butter. I can’t stand it.

I used to hate almonds but now I buy almonds as a snack and really like chewing on them.

The point is that people change every day. But you can’t force them to change. They have to want to change. Anime has to be introduced to them gradually. You can’t force them to like it.
